What a miserable day it's been today. I'm sure we were promised sunshine.
Anyway, it didn't keep away the hardy folk of Devon, who religiously attend the Tuesday market, and then drift up to check out whats new in the shop, or just call in for a chat and a coffee. They know what's good for them!

Our early morning walk.

I'm sure the sheep are as fed up with being constantly paddling in mud as the rest of us are. The sun was coming up as we headed back after our walk this morning, offering a glimmer of hope in drying the soggy ground.

Masses of catkins & ferns, give just about the only signs of spring. It seems very late this year.

After the 'excitement' of yesterday morning it was lovely to get up today and head off with Floss on one of our usual walks. The lane was covered in black ice. We walked about 2,5 miles and didn't see a sole.
