One the face of it this does seem a somewhat strange combination for any book, but I have to say it works rather well.
The book offer an eclectic collection of tea histories & fact,
recipes,
and even recommends a rather lovely looking tea room in Penzance.
Add to that a beautiful selection of patterns,
All with a link (all be it sometimes tenuous) to tea,
Think Green Tea,
Ceylon
Builders
And bikers(?), but that's what I wanted the cotton yarn for!
And I've long forgotten the tea link, but isn't this the most beautiful 'hoody' you've ever seen?

Emily drew this lovely artwork for Archie's first trip to a music festival. He went to Chagstock this weekend. I'm pleased to report both boy & T shirt returned unscathed.
So yummy and no calories! Jane & I resisted eating these cakes. It was only the foaming at the mouth that put us off!
This lovely hand painted lady rabbit arrived this week - she's so pretty.

Yesterday was such a wet and windy day, my thoughts turned to winter and a feeling of dread came over me! The only glimmer of pleasure I can for-see at the moment might be a couple of hours curled up by the fire with my knitting. I'm not panicking though, I'm sure summer will return in all it's glory pretty soon - fingers crossed!
So, confident as we are that this is a brief 'autumnal' spell, this little book is just the ticket.
We wont have time to curl up by the fire for long. Just long enough to knock up something lovely from one ball.
Perhaps a pretty little hat to stop our hair blowing every where.

Jane and I had a trip out on Sunday to The Winsford Trust at Halwill. It is a grade 2 listed building, built by a contemporary of William Morris and given to the people of Halwill for their use. Run as a charity it is a pretty building with great vision for the future of the Halwill community.
We were there as part of their garden trail. We had a stall to accompany the cream teas they were serving and give people something to browse at.
Jane & I had one of those days that happen now & again when everything seems funny! We came away a few cushions and bits lighter, but with aching stomachs from 4 hours of belly laughing. Goodness knows what the other stall holders thought, but it was fun!
Today we had a walk along the Tarka Trail
The same walk as I'd done back in March when the trail first oppened.
It was a cold dry day and I struggled to find anything to photograph
Look how leafy and green it is now!
The hedgerows are covered in flowers
Large patches of Bird's Foot Trefoil
Cow Parsley grows taller & taller
The Common Poppy is springing up along the track too.
There is some water about, which the dogs usually manage to find
Add a verge full of sticky willy plants and you end up with 2 stuck up dogs!!
I'll just have a go on here whilst they clean themselves up!

Smart girls back at home & brushed out. Rosie was more interested in where the treat were than having her photo taken.
