Claire branched out and moved onto wallpaper bags, which looked very impressive.
We finally we added paper flowers and the job was done. Pretty and useful - that's what we like.
Last week we published our December Workshops sheet and the class to make a wreath like the one pictured above, sold out almost immediately for the Saturday, so we are now booking for Sunday 4th December at 2pm. If you'd like to join in may I suggest you book your place pretty soon! You'll need to bring along approx 1m of fabric in your choice of colours (needn't be Christmassy) and pinking shears if you have some. Everything else is provided.
Our other December workshops are Crochet Snowflakes on Saturday 10th December, which are lovely hanging from your tree or as an extra gift tag on a present, and Sugar Paste Christmas Roses on Saturday 17th December.
The sugar paste class is being run by local cake maker extraordinaire, Caroline Munn, who will show us all how to make these beautiful flowers to adorn our cakes this Christmas.

There are some mysteries of sewing and for many years, for me, putting a zip in, was one of those mysteries. However, it's dead easy! So I was delighted to be able to pass on my relatively new found skill to some ladies at our workshop on Saturday.

It seems a while since I've blogged. Not sure what my excuse is?? It's not as if stuff hasn't been happening, or stock hasn't been arriving. We've lots of new bits & pieces in, ready for your Christmas shopping to start. You wont be the first, many are already ahead of us. How smug they'll feel later on when we're all running around like loonies!
Lots of people are making gifts this year, for which Ihave to applaud them. Surely this is the true essence of giving, handing over something you've put your heart and sole into, with just that one recipient in mind. Lovely.
I'd be happy to be on the receiving end of any of the pretty little lavender bags the ladies made at the workshop on Saturday.........
It was a lovely afternoon, the sun shone in through the windows (in fact we'd to open the door it was so warm, not bad for 15th October!) and the conversation flowed as we all relaxed, breathing in the lavender fragrance . Heavenly!

Oh yes, we were indeed bowled over by the results we got from crocheting strips of ripped up bed sheets, duvet covers and the like, into useful and really rather pretty bowls.
