Able to Cable

I am not a knitter. Crochet I can do and enjoy but knitting is not my forte. However, I made a promise to myself that in 2011 I would learn to cable. And I have!! It may not be the most exciting bit of cable, its only a neck warmer, but it is very snuggly warm and I've had it on all day.

If you fancy something fairly tame, like learning to crochet, don't forget we have a list of workshops available, starting with Tunisian crochet this coming Saturday and Granny Squares a few weeks later.

A look back at my year January was a snowy month. We began preparing for moving Angels & Petals from Bridge Street to Deacons House. Squeezing it all in was a challenge. The most stressful week of the year, without a doubt, but it worked in the end. March was foggy & icy and our thoughts turned to knitting. Finally Spring arrived and the days were warm and sunny. And on one of those sunny days - a certain little girl arrived. Knit & Natter thrived and became a twice weekly slot in the calendar of Hatherleigh's discerning women! Not sure what to do on a grey January day? You could learn something new - Tunisian Crochet. In the shop today and continued next Saturday at 2pm. £10.50 inc hook & first ball of yarn. That is for both afternoons. (i.e. next week free!).
