Free Range Needle Felting

Needle felting was the order of the day on Saturday when we had all the colours of the rainbow in merino tops to play with and an embellisher machine. An Embellisher is a very clever little machine, rather like a sewing machine, but just has a number of barbed needles which make short work of needle felting, driving the fibres into the fabric at top speed. Here are some of the results.

A blank canvas Camper Van trips to the beach & beyond. Our workshop on Saturday afternoon was to fill a blank canvas using 'mixed media'. I loved the way most people had obviously given it a great deal of thought at home and prepared so well for it. I was also pleased to see that 'fibres', featured on so many too. Cottage garden. There's no getting away from it! Christmas is definitely coming! Thoughts of such a thing don't really register in the minds of true Hatherleigh folk until after the spectacle of Carnival. Which happens in all it's glory this weekend. The procession and flaming tar barrels pulled through the narrow streets of the town begins at 7.30pm on Saturday evening. So. with Carnival behind us next week means we all move into Christmas mode. Tasty treats. Isn't that what it's all about? These are for your bath though - not for eating!
