Who could resist?

I'm back to thinking about post-able gifts this morning and these really pretty corsages came to mind.

Wool and frost 006

Fair trade, from South Africa they are beautifully made from pure silk, with little beads in the centre. Perfect for pinning to a jumper or coat, or even a handbag. At just under £7 I think they're the perfect Mothers day gift - but I might be biased!!

A Touch of Frost Being such a kind mum (or a sucker - you decide!) I took it upon myself to do my son's paper round this morning and let him have am extra hour in bed. What a great decision that was. It was the most beautiful, ethereal morning. Patches of fog, plenty of frost and the promise of glorious sunshine. Floss, accompanied me, now fully recovered from her ordeal a week ago. Apart from the stitches and the bald patch! My thanks to everyone who has enquired after her. Anyway, I thought I'd share a few snaps with you. Enjoy your days...

Ta Dah! For all those who have witnessed me crocheting my picnic blanket over the past few weeks. It's done! I used 22 balls of Kon-tiki cotton (£2.10 each), 2 balls each, of 11 colours. Made a chain of 200 and randomly striped 2 rows of Treble crochet, in each colour. I finished off with a single crochet edging all the way around. The finished blanket measures 46" x 75". I'm all set for a nice warm sunny day now!
